New Technologies at School:
ICT Seminars:
ICT seminars for teachers have been organized and developed in our school
since we became members of the "Projecte Xarxipèlag". Most
of the teachers of the school have been participating in several ICT seminars
and workshops from the year 2001-02 to be prepared to apply ICT tools in their usual teaching
tasks.
The topics of these seminars have been the following among others:
- The School's net: Users (teachers and pupils' groups), passwords,
permissions, shared folders.
- Surfing in the internet: potentials and dangers. Search engines:
Google ( basic and advanced use)
- Using ICT stuff: Digicams, digicamcorders, scanners, CD burners, DVD
burners, pendrives, rewritable CD's and DVD's, voice recorders, DVD players&
digiprojectors, laptop computers, laptop mobile rack, interactive boards.

- Presentations using Power Point.

After this time for teachers' training, wich lasted two school years, the organization of the staff
talking of ICT resources has been is as it follows:

Along the first term of this school year 2005-06 there has been a teachers
seminar based on the use of new tech stuff as the Smart Boards and the laptop
computers in the classroom.
"ICT in English" (european project)
Since the year 2004 the school is offering a new subject, ICT for pupils, in
English. María Rigo and Encarna Muñoz are the teachers involved in this
new project in wich pupils run programs and ICT aplications using English as the
formal language in class. This singular experience is part of an European
Educational Innovation Project.
Computers' rooms:
There are two computers rooms in the school, enough to provide computers to a
hole group of pupils. This makes possible for the teachers to work curricular
aspects using the possibilities of ICT.There is also a
mobile computer's rack with 21 laptops' computers and WIFI connection able to be
used in any of the rooms of the school.
